The Scout
Well, here is the finished piece, titled The Scout. Is she a tracker, what is she scouting for? Water, shelter, food, or a place of mediation and spiritual awakening? I meant it to be the last, but you can interpret it away you would like. This is the largest painting I've done in a while, it's 2x3 feet in size. I guess since the last entry I added some details, most notably the fallen branches in the southeast corner of the painting. I wanted something there other than all that black. The more details the better. If you were to go to this area ( the anglin falls) or even your own back yard and look at a square foot on the ground, you will see all kinds of details. Bugs, little plants, sticks, bones, coins, tracks. Nature is full of detail, and for the sake of a painting, it's just a lot of fun to add as many of them as I can without going insane.

An even newer painting
Hey everyone! I have forgotten about the previous post, I will have that finished painting on here this week. I went on to another painting which you can see above. I titled it, The Scout. I'm not done yet, but I thought I'd put it out here to let everyone see what I have done so far. This model, Robin, was tickled to death to get to pose with the stick. She kept making Kung Fu poses, which wasn't what I was looking for, but it was fun to see her have fun. This is not a Kung Fu pose however, here she is looking out over the boulders. For the mood of the painting, is she exploring new land for the first time, or is she observing the land that she loves. Is stick is a walking tool for the rocky terrain or a means of protection? I will show you more once I get it done in a few days. Everyone take care and have fun!

Hello again
Well, I've been working on this painting, you can see the original drawing, and some of the beginnings of the painting it self. When I took the picture from my sketch book, you can see through the page the drawing for "Awaiting the Sign". Actually, I have more done on this painting, but I haven't had the chance to Blog in a few days, and this was all I had pictures taken of. I will get more pics out here in a day or two and let you see more of what I have been up to.
