Awaiting the Sign In Seattle Show
Hey everyone! Sorry not to blog in a while. I haven't been in the best of moods for it. As many may know, Awaiting the Sign made it into an international color pencil exhibit in Seattle Washington. Biggest showing ever for me and with a piece I really believe in. Unfortunately, it got damaged by UPS on the way up. The box and frame was destroyed. They painting itself somehow made. Sheila and her husband Pete of the Color pencil Society re framed my painting for me, and now Awaiting .. is in the exhibit. Hopefully all is well. I understand UPS has been slow about looking into the situation, and has been keeping everyone waiting, kind of like the cable guy. Only UPS may have to pay some insurance money, the box containing the painting was eaten, as I understand, by a machine. Getting them to hand over the insurance that was put on the shipping, may be hard. But 2 people who I've never met were kind enough to help me, including the guy who received my painting and has had to deal with this whole scene. I'd like to thank them all. Gee, between Big Corporation and total strangers, total strangers proved to be so much more helpful, go figure. Everyone take care and have fun, and remember, the person you haven't met May save your #&*!! someday. They did mine.

Pondering Her Path

Acrylic

Well, it took a while, but I'm finally done with this one....I think. I started it before I went on vacation a few weeks ago. I thought I was done then, but when I came back I saw a few improvements I could make. I'm one of those artists who always looks for flaws and the chance to add something cool. It takes lots of time studying the painting and sometimes it requires a break to look at it with a fresh frame of mind. This is Robin, a friend and model at the Anglin Falls (but the falls are in the other direction) and it was fun to do. I hope everyone enjoys! Actually, I think I'm going to do a Color Pencil piece next; I'm in that mood.
Take care and have fun.

Art at the Cathedral
I keep forgetting, I have three paintings that are on display at Christ Church Cathedral. Gallery hours are from 9:30 to 3:30 weekdays and the reception will be on the next gallery hop on June 20th. They were nice enough to put my painting Prayer Among the Trees on the front page. Have fun!

Hey everyone!
Sorry not to be on in a while, I've been on vaction in New Mexico and Flagstaff. Me and my wife danced with some Pueblo Indians, went on a lama hike, and rode a train through the flooded state of Iowa and yes, it's bad! We saw people trying to save thier homes by laying sand bags down to keep out the water. We saw other houses below water, a real mess. No global warming heh? Anyway, we visited many art galleries, the ones in Taos were not as cool as they used to be. There was one really good gallery called the Old World Fine Art gallery
Look at the art of Antonio Arllanes. I'm not really a fan of abstract art, but I loved his! It's worth checking out. I will blog about my new painting that I've finished in a day or two. Everyone take care and have fun!
