Step by step




Here's some of the steps for my next painting. You can see where I drew the figure, scanned and printed the drawing, much smaller, and put the white chalk on the back so I could transfer the image to my painting surface. That surface is a 7x5 inch piece of wood. It's really different painting so small. When I started painting, nearly everything was at least 4x3 feet. One piece is 5x6 feet in size. Some people actually told me they couldn't buy some of the paintings they wanted because the paintings were too big. One patron  had her Mother "babysit" a painting she bought from me until her and her boyfriend moved to a larger apartment. No problem like that with these.  See the cats?
